The role of the Grains Market Access Council (GMAC) is to provide strategic advice to the Grains Australia Board on trade and market access matters, to ensure efficient coordination of whole-of-industry responses to trade and market access objectives and priorities, and to provide a consistent and communicative approach to key stakeholders.
GMAC includes industry representatives and experts from across the supply chain and one representative from each of Grains Australia’s Commodity Councils.
GMAC members include:
Chair: Brett Hosking – Victorian grain grower with extensive experience in advocacy, governance and trade.
Julie Alvaro – Western Australian grain grower and the representative from Grains Australia’s Wheat Council.
Lyndon Asser – Experienced in international grain trading and marketing, particularly barley. Lyndon is based in South Australia.
Rob Dickie – Experienced in international marketing and trade, including biosecurity, sustainability and government relations. Rob is based in Western Australia.
John Minogue – New South Wales grain grower with experience in R&D and sustainability.
Luke O’Connor – Experienced in barley trading and logistics and the representative from Australia’s Barley Council. Luke is based in New South Wales.
Adrian Reginato – Experienced in market access, regulations and technical barriers to trade. Adrian is based in Victoria.
Rosemary Richards – Experienced in trade and market access, particularly for oilseeds. Rosemary is based in New South Wales.
John Stuart – Experienced in grain trading and exports. John is based in New South Wales.
Michael Vaccari – Experienced in market development and export sales and the representative from Grains Australia’s Oat Council. Michael is based in Victoria.
Anne Wilkins – Western Australian grower of lupins, with experience in industry development and policy with agronomy expertise in mung beans, faba beans and chickpeas.
Peter Wilson– Experienced in pulse trading, exports, market access and classification including for lentils, chickpeas, faba beans, lupins, broadens and peas. Peter is based in Queensland.
