Grains Australia is in the process of establishing a national oat classification system, working closely with the Grains Industry Association of Western Australia (GIWA), the Australian Export Grains Innovation Centre (AEGIC), InterGrain and other key industry stakeholders.
The oat classification system is being guided and supported by the Grains Australia Oat Council.
As the industry is investing more in oat breeding it’s increasingly important that Australia has a strong classification system that can ensure new varieties meet the immediate and long-term needs of domestic and international customers and Australian growers.
