Grains Australia is working with key industry stakeholders to develop classification systems for a range of pulses. Classification systems will be market driven and add value to the Australian pulse industry by enabling differentiation based on the genetic quality characteristics desired by customers.

The design of pulse variety classification systems is being by the Grains Australia Pulse Council.

The evaluation of pulse variety applications will be carried out by the Pulse Varietal Classification Technical Committee (PTC), an independent committee of Grains Australia.
