Calling all Australian barley industry participants: join the Grains Australia Barley Council and help guide the strategic direction of the Australian barley industry.
Grains Australia’s Commodity Councils and the Grains Market Access Council provide advice to the Grains Australia Board which sets the organisation’s strategic direction to create outcomes of value to the Australian grains industry.
The role of the Barley Council is to provide strategic advice on barley industry matters including priorities and outcomes, strategic classification requirements, trade and market access issues relevant to barley, market insights, market education requirements, and technical market solutions for the barley industry.
The Barley Council incorporates a broad range of expertise including brewing, malting, grain production, plant breeding and grain trading.
“Grains Australia’s Councils incorporate viewpoints and perspectives from across the grains supply chain,” Grains Australia CEO Richard Simonaitis said. “The discussions and insights generated by the Councils are vital to ensure Grains Australia’s initiatives deliver value for the industry.”
Applicants with relevant expertise are encouraged to complete the EOI form online on the Grains Australia website before 5pm AEST on Monday, 18 May.
